Report Submitted By: Gaebria Cornstil – Officio Terminatum Section Chief

Date: 21st day of the Month of the Dragon – 4247

Received To: General Brak Silverfist – Electro Centralis Offico Terminatum

Sir:

In accordance to your executive order, I have compiled the report of those individuals that could be worthy as targets for our training purposes in the past. I have infiltrated the Temporal Studies Group for the university and been on several “studies” for some of the most infamous creatures. Qeid’s work, while thorough, was not complete for our purposes.

The following is the famous and infamous men and monsters that inhabit the ancient realm. The lost holy city of Modrian seemed to be the centerpiece of adventures for the great warriors to start from. These denizens will be explained in great detail based on a simplistic approach: their locations, strengths and weakness, and finally strategies on how to defeat them.

The Halfling King
Southeast of Modrian lies the Halfling village. The place is mostly a slaughtering ground for new adventures who wish to get their blades soaked with blood. The Halfling king was once known as a remarkable warrior, however after seeing him personally, it is much to be desired that he can not fight much of anything. He is overweight and his only thirst for battle is to destroy the seemingly endless grapes that are before him. His strength if any is his group of bodyguards. They are able to attack en masse and can be overpowering if not careful. The king’s weakness is his lack of fighting skill. He can be defeated with any good attack. His low health is your advantage.

Attack Assessment – Show no mercy upon this fool.

The Grand Mistress of Magic
Northwest of Modrian inside the High Tower of Magic, resides some of the most powerful mages in the realm. However none of them are as strong as the residing Grand Mistress. She is a reclusive individual only train the most talented with some of the strongest magic the mage have available. Our records indicate that she is much older than she appears. Her strengths lie within her magic and with her secondary class as a thief. She, also has a high defense rating with Prismatic Sphere and Slow. She is also known to use a trip/prismatic spray combo that can end some lives of the unwise. Her weakness can be exploited by a psionic or a bard. Draining her mana or keeping her off the ground can end her.

Attack Assessment – Caution with Prismatic Sphere/Spray and thief skills must be advised. High level class recommended.

Zhengi the Arch-mage
The Arch-mage, Zhengi lives in his castle in the Western Mountains. You must be flying to access his castle stronghold but it is not too difficult to make it to. Zhengi is one of the chief mages of the demonic lord, Dispater. His power even rivals that of the Grand Mistress of Magic (see Subject: 233). He is accompanied by his bodyguard Aamar, who is a formidable warrior in its own regard. Before fighting Zhengi, you must be aware that he is a Lich, which makes him immune to non-magical attacks, psionic or most bard powers. A balanced group with a cleric with the sunray spell can be a great asset or a monk can turn the tide in your favor. Be aware that Zhengi loves to use the slow spell and prismatic spray while Aamar can attack with quick abandon.

Attack Assessment – Keep wimpy at a high level in case the battle gets out of control. Cleric with sunray or Bard with dirge would help secure victory.

Aziz the Death Knight
Aziz’s life is truly a tragic one. Once a holy knight, his fate took a different path after his betrothed, the Grand Mistress of Magic decided to take the position of running the tower. Filled with despair and rage, he began to leave a trail of blood and death that brought him to the attention of the demon lords of hell. The demon lord, Dispater offered Aziz a command of the armies of hell, in exchange for his loyalty and soul. Knowing he had nothing to lose and all to gain, he greatly accepted. Dispated removed his humanity and made him into a power of death and destruction. Granted a mystical armor and the sentient sword, The Unholy Reaver, he prepares to bring hell upon Calidan in the name of Dispater.

Attack Assessment - He is protected by a command staff of undead warriors who love to bash and can behead if they are wielding weapons. It is recommended to disarm them quickly. Note Aziz’s guards are undead so you must plan you attacks accordingly. Aziz can be attacked normally.

Tarrasque
Not many strike fear or awe into the hearts of warriors then the Tarrasque. Standing over 50ft. tall with reflective skin, the Tarrasque is one of the most formidable creatures in Calidan. Its bite can instantly end event the bravest warrior’s life. The damage from its attacks are considerable and the speed of his attacks are legendary. However, it is not without weakness. However the utmost planning and suitable attacker is absolutely necessary. The Tarrasque is blind to the manipulation of transparency but is immune to elemental based attacks. Summoning powerful minions in large groups can protect a party from a quick death and vast fame and glory to those who survive the onslaught of the Tarrasque.

Attack Assessment – Grim. Use lots of minions when available. High Powered Character(s) and pray for a good outcome. Not for the inexperienced or the foolish.

Red Dragon Highlord
A warrior of great renown, he is one of the human warriors who pledged themselves to the dragon-demon, Tiamat, he is encased in solid red armor and wields the Desolation Blade. A weapon that is capable of casting fireballs in certain conditions. It is said that if he ever loses this weapon, he will search endlessly for the weapon and woe to anyone who stands in his way or possess his weapon. He is usually with an aged, red dragon that shall defend its master to the death. A well planned strategy of attacking the highlord and fleeing to the adjoining room can help minimize the number of enemies. A classic approach of keeping the highlord on the ground, attack and keep him grounded.

Attack Assessment – Keep on ground whenever possible, attack hard and often.

Tre’nadrian
The graceful and powerful leader of the griffin clan. He is very majestic in appearance with a magnificent coat of silvery feathers, offset with large, razor sharp talons. He often wears some molded belly armor to add to his overall protection. Tre’nadrian watches over his kin in a hideout in the northern area of the Forgotten Valley, which offers a strategic
avantage as well as a comfortable place to live.

Attack Assessment - Tre’nadrian can’t get knocked down by the usual flooring techniques, and attacks pretty quickly. Low gen adventurers at high levels can dispatch him without too much trouble.

Sif
The goddess of skill is found in a large and elegant mansion in heaven. Being a goddess, she is incredibly beautiful with hair of the finest gold, and her skin of the softest silk. Anyone attempting an assault on her holy personage would be met with the fiercest of resistance by her loyal guardinals and protective archons.

Attack Assessment - Her ability to summon protective armies of archons makes Sif a formidable opponent. Only adventurers of the strongest of hearts, and highest of gens, should consider challenging her.

Thoth
This bird-headed creature wanders the silver seas of Heaven. While his head is that of an ibis, his body is that of a dangerous man. He is adept in spell casting, proficient in a wide array of powerful defensive and offensive spells, therefore caution is advised.

Attack Assessment - He has powerful magic in his arsenal, and is not afraid to hunt down any that have assailed him to make sure they cannot attempt their foolishness again. Those of mid gen and high level should provide him with humility.

Farogmare
On the southern end of the Forgotten Valley, in opposition to the griffins, is the neotzen compound. The leader of the neotzens, Farogmare, has a deceptive appearance. He is tall and rather thin, but his weak-looking frame belies incredible power. Farogmare is able to utilize both magical and psionic abilities in combat to deadly effect. He wears the pelt of his nemesis, the griffin Tre’yakari, about his body as a trophy signifying his victory.

Attack Assessment - Pending

Lizard Queen
The queen of the lizards dwells within the lizard caves in Skullport. She can be found in her lair surrounded by her albino minions, guarding her eggs. The queen is covered in white scales and has bright green eyes. She is not too difficult to combat; low-genned adventurers (or even well-equipped morts, probably) can defeat her without too much trouble.

Attack Assessment - Pending

Ishtar
Ishtar, the goddess of love. She sits in her Amoria abode being doted on by her pair of servants. She wears silken robes that nicely outline her figure, making one wonder what is beneath those robes. Try to take a peek, and she will show you what she has under there: a deadly rose-star disc. Make no mistake, Ishtar is as lethal as she is alluring. She’ll cut you. And she’ll summon guardinals to help her give out the beat down. The spoils of victory: the rose-star disc, belt of birthstones, and flowing silk robe.

Attack Assessment - Pending

Isis
Goddess of Amoria, she strangely wears a throne on her head. Clothed in a tight-fitting robe, her skin is marked by symbols of fertility, agriculture, and motherhood. Despite her gentle appearance, she is quite a fighter. She is armed with a magical golden rod and an earthen wand and assisted in battle by a righteous guard and her son Horus. She doesn’t appear to have any special resistance or immunities to speak of.

Attack Assessment - Pending

Ogre shaman
The ogre shaman resides in the southwestern corner of the ogre encampment. He is covered in feathers, as his tradition dictates. He is always accompanied by a regiment of ogre guards for his protection. Despite his entourage, the shaman can be defeated by mid-level morts. He isn’t resistant to any spells or techniques, and is relatively easily dispatched.

Ogre chieftain
The leader of the ogres can be found in the westernmost area of the ogre encampment. He’s a big guy, surrounded by guards and a couple of dire wolves. It would take a mort of high level to take out the entire room.

Babau demon
This horned demon looks vaguely human, if a little skeletal. It has razor-sharp claws, which it uses to deadly effect. It lurks in the pit below the temple in the hobgoblin cave. It was probably put down there to do away with intruders or sacrifices. An enterprising mort of low-to-mid level can kill it and walk away with its claws and hide.
