Like any society, Tempus has developed its own lingo and vernacular. Confused about some of the terms used on Tempus? Fear not, here is a detailed list.

woodarrow.jpg AC - armor class; the lower the number greater the protection
woodarrow.jpg Acap - ac-apply; armor class apply
woodarrow.jpg Adren - the trigger adrenaline
woodarrow.jpg AFK - away from keyboard; the status of not being there
woodarrow.jpg Aggro - mobs that will attack players on sight; the property of a mob that makes it attack on sight
woodarrow.jpg Alias - a customized command for another command or set of commands
woodarrow.jpg Align - alignment; points on a scale that determine one’s moral standing
woodarrow.jpg Alter - command to use physic abilities
woodarrow.jpg Anon - anonymous; the hiding of one’s own level on the who list
woodarrow.jpg AOE - area of effect; a spell that works in effect of an entire room
woodarrow.jpg Arc - the alteration electric arc
woodarrow.jpg Ave Dam – Average Damage – The total amount of base damage a weapon has before bonuses are added.
woodarrow.jpg Backer – a stabbing weapon used by thieves to backstab
woodarrow.jpg Bal - Balance: the amount of money in a bank
woodarrow.jpg Barb - barbarian
woodarrow.jpg BBL - be back later
woodarrow.jpg Beheader - a weapon recognized as a usable for beheading
woodarrow.jpg Bolt - the spell lightning bolt

woodarrow.jpg Cap - maximizing an attribute or gaining the maximum amount of exp possible in one kill; to player-kill someone

woodarrow.jpg Dam reduc - damage reduction; prevents a certain percentage of damage to a target
woodarrow.jpg Desc - description; a room’s summary of the senses

woodarrow.jpg Dice - dice damage; the weapon’s ability to deal damage
woodarrow.jpg Disp - Dispel magic
woodarrow.jpg DoS - Discipline of Steel
woodarrow.jpg DR – Damroll: Damage Room – Rooms that will cause players to take damage and possibly lead to death.

woodarrow.jpg DT - death trap; a rare room where one instantly dies; Detect - the spells used to detect certain flags or actions; the skill deathtouch

woodarrow.jpg ECON – Energy Conversion – A physicist skill that takes items and converts them into energy for mana restoration.

woodarrow.jpg Gen - generation; refers to the number of times a player has remortalized
woodarrow.jpg Gith – Githyanki Fortress – a floating island inside the astral plane.

woodarrow.jpg Hit – Hitroll – An indicator that calculates the possibilities of hitting a target. The higher the number the better.
woodarrow.jpg Hobs - Hobgoblin Cave; also refers to hobgoblins in general
woodarrow.jpg HP – Hitpoints – the amount of life your character has.

woodarrow.jpg HS – Holy Square – center of the Holy City of Modrian; the central gathering place of the past & starting place for many adventures.

woodarrow.jpg Hunted - a flag; an object that is typically hunted by devils for their repossesion
woodarrow.jpg ID - identify; to determine the attributes of a person or object; to invoke a form of the spell ‘identify’
woodarrow.jpg Id Insin - the trigger id insinuation
woodarrow.jpg Imm- Immortal – one of the administrators of the game.

woodarrow.jpg INT - Intelligence attribute

woodarrow.jpg LVL - level; a character’s level; to gain experience; the process of killing mobs specifically for experience
woodarrow.jpg Mahl - Castle Mahlhevik; the mob Mahlhevik
woodarrow.jpg Males - dracharna males from the zone Dracharnos; vicious giant insects
woodarrow.jpg Mana_Tap - a flag that gives players the quality of regaining mana at a rapid rate

woodarrow.jpg Regen - regeneration; slowly regaining health, mana, or stamina
woodarrow.jpg Rein - Reinforce: increases a piece of equipment’s resistance to degradation by 25% and increases weight by one pound

woodarrow.jpg Thac0 - to hit armor class 0; the necessary hit die roll needed to hit a target with 0 AC
