MUD is an acronym for Multi-User Domain: a text-driven, online, multi-player computer game that combines elements of role-playing, hack and slash game play, and social chat rooms.
You have an alter-ego in this virtual world called your “character,” through which you interact with the environment, other characters, and computer-controlled creatures (MOBS) through written descriptions and commands.
