Tempus society is a diverse social web of intersecting relationships and common interests. Similar to the World, society can be roughly organized into three diverse groups. In this case: Characters, Organizations, & People.
Characters refer to the identities players assume in the Tempus universe; Organizations refer to the various groups and societal structures that concern both Characters and Mobs (non-player characters populating the world); And People refer to the real life players who make Tempus truly great.
This section concerns Characters & Organizations.
For People, please see Community.

Policy is the social and game play contract we agree upon to enjoy Tempus. It has been written to outline rules which are thought to keep the game fun for both players and staff. Following the player policy is a condition of playing here. Following the immortal policy is a condition of working here.
The staff of TempusMUD follow the philosophy that all players are capable of self-control, so there will be no attempt to “correct” players through punishment. Punishment will typically be a temporary or permanent removal from the game and the destruction of any benefits gained by the infraction.
Please familiarize yourself with the policy to avoid accidental violations.

Use of scripts and mud clients is encouraged. Unattended automation is prohibited.Names & Titles

World Modification
Immortals may not make any non-job-related changes to the world or players. This includes, but is not limited to: restorations, rewards not earned from a quest, moving objects or players, changing player names or titles, and loading equipment for yourself or others. Modifying one’s personal zone is acceptable, of course, but should never intersect the gameplay of the players in any way.
Player Relationships
Immortals must pursue individual relationships with players along private channels. Any personal correspondance between a player and an immortal must occur through tells or says in a private room. Immortals are welcome to log in as a mortal if they wish to cause a scene.Respect Towards Players
Immortals shall retain an attitude of respect towards the players at all times, even if they are not receiving it. Insulting players “all in fun” is not acceptable.Respect Towards Immortals
