Communication Channels

All new characters can only use one public channel, which is the newbie channel. It's the first public channel you get to use to communicate with others. Once you get to level 6, you obtain the rest of the other channels. These channels would be the gossip, dream, grats, spew, sing, holler, and shout channels. Some of the channels may only be heard if your on the same plane or area. For example, the shout channel can only be heard by people in the same zone as you. There are also the guildsay, clansay, and project channels. Guildsay is to talk to anyone of the same class as you i.e. Mage, Monk, Borg. The clansay channel is used to communicate with your clanmates if you are in a clan. The project channel can only be used by remorted characters.

All channel commands have similar syntax: <channel name> <message>
where <, and > denote an entry field.

Say and tell may also be considered channels but are more private. The say channel only allows those within the same room to hear your message. The tell channel allows only one person to hear your message.
