How Do I Get Help

As a new player one may ask for help with use of a channel or use the help command. For those under level 6, the only chat channel you can use is the newbie channel. Just newbie that you want some help and one of our kind, helpful players will help you out.

Five main areas of help around Tempus 1) This handbook 2) Help Files 3) Newbie Channel 4) Other Players 5) Tempus's Main Website (and others) 1) This hand book is filled with useful information about Tempus's world. Use this to find basic commands and examples of them. It also has helpful suggestions for first time MUD players. 2) Help Files are found in about every command, spell, or skill in Tempus. Just type Help <idea> and you'll get a detailed explanation. Typing 'help' will pull up a list of eight topics, each with sub-topics and related files, curious about punch? help punch, maybe sweepkick seems interesting, help sweepkick - ect. 3) If it's something that has been omitted in the handbook, or you can't seem to figure out, there's always the newbie channel. Most players are willing to help out the new guy finding a zone, or answering a question! Be sure to not abuse this channel! 4) If all else fails, there's nothing wrong with asking another player for help. If they're willing to help, they'll let you know. Holy Square in Modrian is a great place to seek out players. Ex. "Tell <player> Do you mind helping a lost newbie?" 5) Finally, there's the main Tempus website.
